Roethlisberger And Bettis Debut In New Soap Opera

Jerome Bettis, American football player.

Well, Jerome Bettis is just keeping it real and Big Ben wishes he would mind his own business. Isn’t it amazing the amount of gossip that goes around whenever the Steelers are losing? If they win, not much is said and everybody is happy. If they lose, the soap opera begins in full force. So far this week we had Ryan Clark give his opinion on the media and he got hell for it and now they’re pitting Bettis and Roethlisberger against each other.

In my opinion, I don’t think Ryan Clark was out of line at all. I think he was pretty nice about it. Holy hell, don’t you think that he’s frustrated too. If I was an athlete and I had some of the incredibly stupid questions asked to me week in and week out, I would of flipped out a long time ago. I’d be knocking tables over and making an ass out of myself on a weekly basis! People would want us to get beat just to see me lose it during the post-game interviews! I always want one of them to just be honest for once. No politically correct answers or no canned responses, just real and uncut replies to the same stupid questions. It would be more entertaining than watching these games lately!

As far as Jerome and Ben, I don’t think that Bettis said anything different than what most of us were thinking anyways. He said that they lost their spirit and that they lack leadership. That’s kind of what it looked like to me against Cleveland! When I watched that game, they looked like they were lost and confused. It seems like as a past teammate, Bettis could keep those kind of comments to himself, but that’s what he gets paid for now. Jerome Bettis was just doing his job, doing what he gets paid to do. I wish we can say the same for the Steelers these last five games. Read the rest of this entry »

Penguins 3-2 Over Crybaby Philly!

Well, the Pittsburgh Penguins keep rolling and beat the crybaby Philadelphia Flyers 3-2 in a shootout! It was a great game, much better than the game on Tuesday when we dominated them 6-1. As much as I dislike Philly’s fans and their non-stop chants of “Crosby sucks!”, I kind of feel bad for them. They’re the only team that can bring in Chris Pronger and become worse! Best Gift For A Steeler Fan!

steeler locker picHey yinzers,
I found the best gift for the Steeler fan on your christmas list! It is a locker room picture of Steeler jerseys hanging in a row of four. It has Polamalu, Roethlisberger, Ward, and in the middle you can put any name that you want. Wouldn’t that be a cool gift for a Steeler fan? They could hang it in there gameroom or office with all of their other Steeler gear. There is also a plaque on the locker above the Jersey that can be personalized. I think this is pretty cool and if anyone wants to buy me one, my last name is spelled ULM. Just kidding. . . not really, just go buy me one please.

The website that has this actually has a bunch of other cool stuff too. There are lighters, Steeler wastebaskets, floor mats for your car, and if you have $850 that you don’t know what to do with, there’s even a full sized, autographed Terry Bradshaw helmet! I went ahead and bought three just in case he comes out of retirement like Brett Favre, they might be worth some money in the future.

Funny Parenting

An older, tired-looking dog wandered into my yard; I could tell from his collar and well-fed belly that he had a home and was well taken care of. He calmly came over to me, …

James Harrison’s Mom Should Play For The Steeler’s!

After reading the story about James Harrison‘s mom getting arrested on Thursday, I got to thinking.  .  . I came to the conclusion that what the Steelers are lacking is the will to fight and to stand up for themselves.  Obviously Mildred Harrison’s not afraid of either. From what I was reading, there were tables turned over and beer bottles broken. Food laying all over the place and people getting punched, kind of like an old fashioned bar fight. I only wish that the Steelers would start to play with the same amount of intensity! Read the rest of this entry »

There’s That Poop I Was Talking About!

Shopping series - Brown hair womanWell if you liked my post about my kid and his blue balls, you are going to like this one too. This one has to do with one of my kids pooping himself in Giant Eagle and embarrassing the hell out of my wife!

It all starts innocently enough on a typical day of grocery shopping for my wife. Well at the Giant Eagle that she was shopping at, they have a little daycare type place called the Eagle’s Nest. This is a place where you can leave your kid for an hour or so while you do your shopping in peace! Looks good on paper, right? Well, of course it doesn’t always work out that way. At least not whenever one of my kids is involved!

So Tammy is going about her business, buying one of everything in the store, and around ten gallons of ice cream. All of a sudden, a worker from the Eagle’s Nest comes flying up to her, ranting about how they have been buzzing her and why wasn’t she responding. Apparently they give you a buzzer and if they need to get a hold of you, they can just buzz you to get you to come back. I guess the buzzer wasn’t working and they were trying to get her to come back because my son said that he needed to go to the bathroom. Read the rest of this entry »

Funny Kids!

Here’s a few sites that I found that have some funny kids stuff.

This one has some T-shirts you might want to get for your kids. Really classy!

Offensive but funny kids t-shirts from Spencer’s Gifts Store

They always have funny things but this time I was a little shocked to see some of the things they were selling. All I could think when I saw this was, are you serious? I could not and would never put this on my kid. …

This one is about cruelty with kids and marshmallow’s.

Very funny Kids & Marshmallow test!

After watching it though, I think I can improve on it. You can put a five year old in a room with a new puppy. Tell them that you will be back in a half hour. If they don’t pet the puppy, they get to keep it. If they pet the puppy, then they don’t get it. Not that I would do that, I’m just saying.

Here’s one that kind of reminds me of something that I would do! This kids a real hoser!

Funny Kid Brings Old Typewriter To Class

This kid decides to play a prank in his college class by bringing a typewriter to class. Everyone laughs as he begins using it and the teacher reacts.

Being A Parent In Today’s World

Being a parent is one of the most important jobs in the world today, if not the most. It amazed me whenever I had my first son, Cory at age 19, that they left us take him home from the hospital. I was like, you’re really letting him go with us? You sure you don’t want to send a nurse along with us? We were clueless as to what to do with him. I mean basic parenting instincts took over and we did a great job, at least I think that we did. To be truthful, Tammy was a natural and she deserves all the credit for how our kids are turning out. If you read my post about blue balls, you’re probably a little suspicious of our skills, but you can’t let one little magic marker set the tone for the whole upbringing! Greatest Moments In Pittsburgh Sports History!

Hey Yinzers, I know that we’ve had a rough month or so with our beloved Steelers, but you should remember the good times. I found this video that has some of the greatest moments in Pittsburgh sports history. It will make you feel good and maybe even choke you up a bit, if your a wuss like me. It has some incredible goals from Lemiuex, Jagr, Crosby, and more. There are some great highlights from the Steelers, including some tense moments in 2005 in the playoff game against Indianapolis, as well as the “Immaculate reception”. And yes, there are even some love shown for the Pirates. It has Aerosmith’s “Dream On” playing in the background and it really will make you proud to be a Pittsburgh sports fan! In fact, maybe the Steelers should go back and watch their run to the superbowl from last year. Those highlight films always get me pumped up. Well here it is, enjoy, and be proud to be a Pittsburgh fan!
